Are you ready to plant your roots in a rapidly growing lawn and garden tools company amongst like-minded buds who GO WITH JOE? We are looking to build out our 3PL team with an eager, self-motivated, and highly strategic Business Development Manager who can grow our 3PL business to maximize revenue and build out their own account portfolio. Logistics have been a critical part of SNOW JOE + SUN JOE's exponential growth and our Company is continuing to build out resources and capabilities to ensure we continue to win our share in the 3PL space. The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Snow Joe 3PL offering and growing out accounts by providing oversight and foresight for all potential business. The right candidate will have strong experience in identifying, and onboarding new business via research and prospecting while becoming consultative in providing logistics solutions based on individual customer needs. The candidate will maintain and grow accounts through daily communication with customers while upholding Snow Joe's commitment to service. The Business Development Manager will have a key role in the management of newly obtained accounts and oversight of other accounts, implementing strategies to ensure the attainment of key financial goals and objectives for the logistics department as whole.


Responsibilities:


  • Prospecting; research, identify and contact potential new customers for Snow Joe and close new business
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and account-level plans; Continually conduct follow-up to solidify relationships and grow volume for the 3PL business
  • Prepare and present value proposals, supply chain solutions and pricing to potential
  • Responsible for maintaining company defined margins and improving yield and volume
  • Liaison between customer and multiple internal Snow Joe departments, e.g. Account Management, Marketing, Credit/collections, Sales Analytics, etc.
  • Daily logging, reporting and communication of sales meeting/prospecting activity
  • Maintain an up-to-date online pipeline and meeting notes
  • Social selling a plus, e.g. LinkedIn
  • Majority of time will be spent in front of targeted potential and the remainder should be spent in the designated office
  • Maintain and expand relationships with stakeholders to effectively negotiate and close opportunities
  • Collaborate within the sales team to prioritize opportunities based on market capacity demands and profile needs
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, sales funnel, and areas of expansion within customer portfolio

  • Strong writing and verbal communication aptitude and proven ability to provide creative suggestions and vision relative to closing on targeted strategic accounts
  • Bachelor's degree desired. Major or significant coursework in logistics and supply chain management a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics/transportation preferred.
  • Valid driver's license plus insurance required
