The OR Specialist reports to the Region Director and will support OMI Halyard’s North America business and will be responsible for the clinical selling of products primarily sold in an Operating Room, Labor & Delivery, and the Cath Lab departments within an Acute Care Hospital. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting to surgeons, nurses, VP of nursing and Supply Chain and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the OR product portfolio and will work in collaboration with select internal Territory Managers, Region Directors, Corporate Account Directors and Area VP to help build deep relationships with key OR leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with primary Territory Managers to review strategy and projects
  • Effectively communicate with customers to sell solutions
  • Partner with marketing to identify trends and anticipate customer needs
  • Drive Strategy and Sales Results
  • Consult on customer procedure trays
  • Manage Projects from beginning to end
  • Conduct Utilization Reviews within operating room to provide efficiencies of products
  • Drive key critical messaging both internally and externally
  • Account relationship development and business development of OR Focused OMI Halyard Global products.
  • Work closely with distributors selling our products.
  • Contract and price negotiations and contract management.
  • Tactical implementation of the business and selling activities required to meet objectives
  • Sales positioning, analysis, and implementation within the facilities.
  • Utilizing all aspects of OMI Halyard’s Performance Management Process to measure progress toward objectives, deliver business results and model global leadership qualities to enhance effectiveness

Global Products (OR Focus) Include:
Halyard Surgical and Infection Prevention Products - surgical drapes/gowns, facemasks,
Medi-Choice Products – Surgical Gloves, Skin Adhesive and other related products
AVID/Medical Action Products – Custom Procedural Trays (CPT’s) 

Key Call Points:

  • Customer departments include: Central Service, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Radiology - Special Procedures, Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, Infection Prevention, GI Lab, and Supply Chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/related field and minimum 5+ years prior related experience; MBA desirable or equivalent experience
  • Medical/ Healthcare marketing and/or sales experience is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organization skills, integrity, initiative, analytical skills, decision making, organizational sensitivity and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required timeframes
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills with large audiences
  • Provide consultation to understand account goals, budget, and timeline.
  • Understand Operating Room protocols
  • Motivated by challenges and possesses a robust sense of urgency and curiosity
  • Passionate about driving brand growth by meeting customer needs
  • Demonstrate positive energy to effectively represent category internally and externally
  • Strong skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities

  • Be able to travel 60% of the time
