The Opportunity

MAPEI is looking for a Technical Specialist - Sports Division to join our team based in Deerfield Beach FL. The Sports Division at MAPEI provides court and flooring installation solutions to various areas in the sports industry. Projects include various types of indoor and outdoors courts (tennis, basketball, tracks), artificial turf installations and more.

  • Field technical inquires by phone, email.
  • Provide leads to the Sales force.
  • Assist in creating business relationships with Sports industry.
  • Work with MAPEI R&D in the development of new products and system solutions.
  • Participate in and report on the evaluation of new Sports products.
  • Participate in MAPEI trade-shows.
  • Create and publish on-line training programs for
  • Track trends by documenting cases in CRM.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Review and make recommendations on technical data sheets/packaging.
  • Attend seminars and participate in external training on a limited basis.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in acrylic/polyurethane coating for sport surfaces or any kind of sports surfaces experience (artificial turf, rubber or PVC sport floorings), industrial resin flooring or any experience with sports surfaces builders or any combination of related training and experience.
