Talladega Superspeedway is seeking a highly organized and experienced Account Executive to manage and maximize non NASCAR event time sales at Talladega Superspeedway. Talladega Superspeedway is a multi-use facility hosting year-round events consisting of car shows, festivals, corporate events, concerts, driving schools etc. This candidate will report to the Director of Business Development and will work out of the offices at Talladega Superspeedway.
Talladega Superspeedway is seeking a highly organized and experienced Account Executive to manage and maximize non NASCAR event time sales at Talladega Superspeedway. Talladega Superspeedway is a multi-use facility hosting year-round events consisting of car shows, festivals, corporate events, concerts, driving schools etc. This candidate will report to the Director of Business Development and will work out of the offices at Talladega Superspeedway.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Maximize sales opportunities and marketing objectives at Talladega Superspeedway including the contracting of consumer trade shows, corporate meetings and events, festivals, concerts, driving schools and other facility rentals with the objective of renewal of existing business and the procurement of new business.
- Create and oversee the development of new revenue streams with the goal of increasing non-NASCAR event time sales of $150,000.
- Work directly with Operations on the scheduling, coordination and execution of the delivery of all TSS rental customer obligations.
- Maximize profitability by evaluating budgets and profit margins of each event to determine ways to increase revenues and margins.
- Develop and execute an annual revenue budget for approval and subsequent implementation and plan for achieving annual sales goals.
- Serve as the representative of Talladega Superspeedway in corporate and association trade memberships. Utilize networking relationships to maximize visibility and generate sales opportunities for the Complex.
- Coordination of Special Events at Talladega Superspeedway leading up to and during NASCAR Event weekends including programing and scheduling of Garage Entertainment Zone activities, Saturday night infield concert and other events.
- Provide excellent customer service. Coordinate delivery of all on-site customer requirements and manage and exceed expectations.
Qualifications:
- Motivated self-starter, team player, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong internal/external customer relations and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a group setting and comfortable making both telemarketing and in-person cold calls.
- Ability to set annual budget sales goals and establish a written plan to achieve objectives.
- Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Sales, Facility Management, Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum of two years of proven sales history in corporate, stadium, entertainment or hotel meeting room sales.
