• Kansas City, KansasThe Pathology Sales Executiveis responsible for directing the sales functions of all our specialties, including: Derm, GI, GU, Heme, and Neuro services in an assigned territory. The territory includes KS, AR, LA & MO. This position executes a sales plan designed to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the assigned territory, while ensuring maximum sales volume of their assigned territory. Provides and coordinates all aspects of the direct sales and client relations support functions to clients. Travels overnight approximately 60% (up to 90%) of the time with occasional weekend travel may be required.
- Sells multiple specialties including Derm, GI, GU, Heme, Heme and Neuro services and pathology to physicians.
- Provides business solutions to physicians in the private sector and/or ambulatory surgery center marketplace.
- Analyze business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans for assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Utilize understanding of and experience discussing the healthcare payer environment and its impact on physicians and ancillary providers.
- Negotiate sales contracts, which must be approved by the Senior Vice President of Business Development, prior to implementation.
- Maintain understanding of information technology and how it interfaces with physician offices. Able to demo different technology solutions and advise on hardware & software to enhance work flow efficiencies.
- Advises Senior Management Team on relevant client or market concerns.
- Develops and maintains "Core" knowledge of competitive products, services, technology solutions, and reimbursement/billing issues.
- Provides necessary and appropriate post-sales service to accounts, utilizing each opportunity to discover and pursue additional business.
- Basic troubleshoot, diagnose, and service technology solutions and perform such duties in house, over the telephone, and on site as required meeting "Core" skill level requirements. Setup hardware & equipment configuration.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with key personnel in assigned accounts as related to supporting on going issues (i.e., installations, upgrades, persistent problems). Escalate support issues when customer satisfaction is jeopardized.
- Maintain all assigned company assets including laptop computer, PDA, iPad, MiFi, etc.
- Submit all necessary paperwork, including travel itineraries, trip reports, activity reports, monthly reports, Lighthouse report, expense, and service reports, as required, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates "Core" level knowledge of anatomical pathology, technology solutions and competitive strategies through the use of company resources, on the job training, in house literature, marketing material, and sales brochures.
- Meet all quotas assigned by management.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University preferred.
- Ability to travel 60%(and the ability to travel up to 90%) and work flexible hours when required.
- 7+ years of successful sales experience(both product and service) preferred, with five or more years’ experience calling on and selling to physicians, ambulatory surgery centers and/or dermatology practices.
- Possess high degree of understanding the client relationship with Physicians, their needs, and how we can provide service and technology solutions for their pathology needs.
- Demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, while working under pressure and effectively communicating these solutions to coworkers and customers.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of proprietary software programs.
- Customer Service Focus – Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding client/customer needs and then delighting the client/customer by exceeding service and quality expectations.
