Work Shift:
1ST SHIFT (United States of America)The primary responsibilities of the Customer Development Manager position includes: Refrigerated & Frozen portfolios for Save A Lot to including Tyson RVAP, Refigerated Breakfast, Lunchmeat, Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Hotdogs. Representing the brands of Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire, Ball Park, Wright, Aidells, Tortillaland and Private Branded Businesses. This position will be responsible for managing approximately 30 MM LBS of business. This position will work closely with our retail development team for store execution by our retail broker. This position will collaboratively develop and execute annual business plans that deliver volume, sales and profit targets while maximizing approved TAPR funding. Requires deep understanding of customer to align needs and attain sustained long term growth. Frequent interaction with Director, Team Performance Manager, Customer Insights Team, Customer Planning Specialist, Customer Service Account Manager, Sales Strategy & Planning, Retail Operations and Shopper Marketing, and frequent interaction with all Business Units.
Key responsibilities include:
Ability to effectively own and lead the strategic customer planning process that delivers team and company KPIs while properly managing trade limits. Proficient in FORGE and TRACE planning systems; sound analytical skills aimed at monitoring business trends and formulating proactive solutions to effectively grow the business; strong collaboration skills both internal and external with the ability to work in team environment across multiple levels and personalities to properly engage others; solid communication skills to include active listening with ability to effectively interact both internally and externally in effort to facilitate understanding and move business forward; develop retail communications to direct efforts at store level working with retail operations manager; ability to prepare pertinent material for effective presentation to customer. This will include innovation, category and business reviews and deliverables on company initiatives related to brand strategy. Solid demonstrated presentation skills aimed to influence and negotiate for win-win outcomes.
Additionally, frequent analysis of IRI, Nielsen and consumer data to understand product performance and category trends. Ability to apply data to action plans and solutions for customer. This person will need to possess an entrepreneurial business attitude to constantly explore new opportunities and effectively own the business.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree; Business/Sales or Marketing background preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of industry experience; key account management, broker management preferred; Category Management skills/understanding syndicated data; solid business acumen in the retail grocery environment.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel: 20 trip annually
Location: Position should be located in Springdale, AR or St. Louis, MO.
