General Manager Job Opening

Family owned and operated regional service company successfully serving customers since 1934 has an opening for a General Manager. This position is responsible for the overall leadership of a “stand alone” local business that is environmentally friendly and customer focused. Ideal candidate will consistently contribute to overall excellence that will meet or exceed customer and team objectives. Direct oversight of team (sales, customer service, warehouse and back office), supervision and support will be the direct responsibility of this individual.

• Value and promote a safety minded culture
• Coordinate and insure all corporate training and procedure guidelines are being met for all associates
• Oversee company assets including:Building, equipment, fleet, inventory, accounts receivable (monitoring and collection)
• Lead in a team-driven environment
• Manage multi-functional areas, such as: Warehouse, Office Administration, Route Distribution and Outside Sales Departments
• P &L responsibility
• Goal setting, delegate and follow-up
• Lead and motivate by example
• Conflict resolution and training of staff
• Communicate professionally with all levels of management
• Customer Service
• Sales and Marketing
• Use the following programs on a daily basis: Microsoft Office applications - Word I Excel/ Outlook

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have an excellent driving record
• Able to work overtime including Saturdays
• Must be a quick Learner & eager to learn new industries
• Must be able to pass a drug screen when required
• Must be committed to community Involvement
• Must have Budgeting and P&L experience
• Must believe in environmental stewardship
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Formal Education Preferred: A four-year degree or at least 3 years’ experience as a business operating manager
• Must possess a positive attitude and possess excellent customer service skills
