LEAD SALES COORDINATOR (Junior Administrative Officer) - Range 12 / AME

Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.

This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA.

DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
LOCATION: 700 West 6th Avenue


Example of Duties: Provide lead work direction to Customer Service Representatives. Answer inquiries from customers and staff via telephone, in writing, or in person concerning route and schedule information, lost and found and all other Public Transportation services. Responsible for the sale and distribution of passes to all established partners and sales outlet locations. Ensure work quality and accuracy with adherence to established policies and procedures. Develop, implement and provide training related to assigned area of responsibility. Maintain and is accountable for keeping appropriate records of all sales items. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical accounting duties involved in the billing and payment processing of group pass sales. Verifie cash drawers, balance daily cash deposits and reconcile inventory. Provide courteous, friendly and accurate service to customers at all times. Support a number of Internal Technology Systems (ITS) including the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Productive Solutions Sales System. Update user permissions, maintain an inventory list, run reports for administrative staff as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and experience in sales and customer service.

OR

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in sales and customer service.

OR

High school diploma, GED or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in sales and customer service.

Preferences:

  • Ability to type at minimum speed of at least 35 WPM, or at least 100 KSM data entry/ten key.
  • Valid State of Alaska driver's license
