Job Description:

Integrated Disability Consultant:

The Integrated Disability Consultant will be part of a client facing team for our Integrated Disability (FMLA/STD/LTD) Claim Areas. The consultant will be responsible for collaborating with our distribution teams in support of acquiring new business and securing renewals. They will be responsible, in part, for assisting with the content of the claim narrative and the experience of visitors to the Center for Healthy Work.

Responsibilities:

• The Integrated Disability Consultant will be accountable for managing the integrated claims representation at finalist presentations. They will be prepared to attend presentations in person or delegated to another well-trained resource on the team or within the Group Claims Organization to assist sales. They will be a key resource in providing input on the materials needed for each presentation. They will be responsible for helping to train auxiliary resources they may send to finalist meetings. They will partner with distribution to insure we are meeting the needs of brokers and employers during client facing events.

• They will assist in the claims operations readiness assessments for the implementation of National Account cases. They will attend meetings with clients and work closely with Implementation managers to address any issues with the claims process and offering. They will update the "special instruction" databases and/or work with the appropriate STD/LTD Team Leads and Managers to make they updates accordingly. They will also lead new client culture training for the claims specialists and mangers handling the claims.

• They will partner with our ComPsych FMLA partners to understand our clients LOA needs, the details of our integrated Sun Life Absence Management Services offering and be able to provide clients and brokers with an in-depth demonstration of our digital portals. They will provide sample copies of our leave and claims correspondence and reporting offerings with detailed information on their purpose and use.

• They will manage the claims portion of the Disability Renewal. Provide U/W with claims data and anecdotal claims history.
• Work with National Account claims managers to understand claims issues and strategize team to find appropriate solutions.
