Utility Outside Sales is responsible for meeting outside sales objectives by managing Rental/Sales efforts, managing equipment inventory and developing-maintaining business relationships. Act as a leader with the new division to project coordinator and service tech to ensure safe work with the highest level of quality and proficiency in the industry.

Key Objectives:
  • Safety at all times with all projects
  • Promote Rental/Sales to current customers and new customers
  • Work with Rental/Sales & Rental Ops Mgr. to manage Utility products fleet
  • See all deals through from sizing & scope to the delivery and installation/service
Essential Job Duties:
1.Sales - Utility Division type products,
By,
Getting quotes on new/used utility products to sell
Locating equipment to meet customers' needs
Working with Sales Manager or Project Coordinator for quotes on service work
Calling on current customers and potential new customers in person and via phone
Searching out new and different utility-type sales opportunities

2. Rental - Utility Division type products,
By,
Know the current data to be able to quote Utility products to customers
Locating equipment to meet rental customers' needs
Calling on current customers and potential new customers in person and via phone searching out new and different utility-type rental opportunities

3. Establish new Utility-Services customers
By,
Generate new Utility Service customers through credit applications
Being in the field in front of potential customers 5 days/week
Focus on our opportunities with Construction, Industrial, Ag, Events, and Emergency Mgmt.

Other Duties:
  • Must be in constant communication with USD Sales Manager and USD Project Coordinator to see and walk all projects through in your area.
Focus on the details of projects, know delivery times,
EX. Help coordinate generator and transfer switch, fuel tank installations. Know what contractors are doing which part of installations, from the order to the warranty fire up sequence.

Be very familiar with your fleet mix, its inventory, availability of.

Work with USD Rental Ops and USD rental sales mgr. in making productive decisions. Be aware of cost and familiar with Utilities division financials.

Be willing to participate in any product and or rental/sales training offerings from vendors or associations annually if the need arises.

Always be on the look-out for additional Utilities Division products that would match up with, go- along with our product mix that would generate revenue.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Experience
minimum 1-3 years sales related experience
ability to present and sell at all customer levels
ability to work in fast-pace environment while multi-tasking to meet customers' needs
strong verbal and written communication skills
outstanding customer service skills
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
ability to organize and independently manage time
minimum 21 years of age
clean driving record

Education

College degree preferred
High School Diploma with relevant experience

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

This position will be working in operating facilities and outdoors traveling to numerous customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.

This position is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to sit, stand, walk, or climb.

Must be able to frequently lift up to 100 pounds.

Position requires driving vehicle to and from customer locations.
