The primary purpose of the Outside Sales Consultant is to quote and sell automotive parts to customers for wholesale sales. Parts Sales Consultants are responsible for processing orders and ensuring timely delivery of parts to the customer. Outside Sales Consultants must also establish and maintain positive relationships with external customers and promote Rydell and Rydell products.

Responsibilities

  • Quote, sell and process wholesale automotive parts to commercial customers and wholesale accounts
  • Be knowledgeable in GM wholesale programs, customer discounts and specific parts pricing
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with external customers
  • Visit outside account customers and document visits to shops
  • Coordinate parts ordering and delivery process
  • Follow-up with buyers to ensure referral business
  • Learn to overcome objections and thrive in sales situations

Qualifications

  • Available to work shift starting at 7am daily
  • Willingness to drive to different shops in the tri-state area (leaving in the AM and returning the same day)
  • Ability to collaborate, interpret and communicate information that is not always straightforward
  • Must have an outgoing personality
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
