What you will do :

  • Prospect for New Customers in the designated geographical area for Straight Boom Cranes
  • Prospect for New Customers in the designated geographical area for Articulated Cranes primarily targeting non earth moving customers.
  • Assist other Sales Managers with sales support with their customer base.
  • Increase sales in the designated geographical area. Primary focus is on growth for South Western United States market along with opportunities in other areas.
  • Support customer development and facilitate new opportunities for the firm including create and maintain customer and product database.
  • Manage and participate in customer proposal development, preparation, pricing and presentations.
  • Maintaining a complete and detailed understanding of all products and services offered.
  • Liaison between the client and Southwest Products manufacturing and operations.

What we need from you :

  • A strong mechanical aptitude is desired.
  • Highly detailed orientated
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
  • Make decisions with minimal supervision and information
  • Positive attitude and works well with others
  • Five or more years of proven sales experience in the work truck industry or construction equipment industry
  • B.A. or B.S. preferred.

Working Conditions, Travel/Schedule Expectations:

  • Remote office that is based in the corresponding territory
  • 50 -75% travel will be required.
  • Self-starter, that is organized and is comfortable working in an isolated setting.
  • Flexibility in planning for quick reaction to customer requests.
