Overview

Allied Associates International seeks a Director of Business Development who will partner with senior leadership to drive the corporation’s strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and refining an understanding of customers' needs and creating/leading winning capture strategies. The successful candidate will lead business development activities in the National Capitol Region as well as other strategic locations throughout the continental US. This role will directly report to the CEO and will be focused on the Missile Defense Agency, Department of Justice and U.S. Army accounts. The selected individual will identify, qualify and capture opportunities as well generate qualified pipeline growth necessary to meet or exceed the business forecast and plan. This role, supporting a diverse portfolio, will include responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive business capture plan that would increase business opportunities, revenues and profits for the corporation. The director is involved in strategic marketing and operations planning with company executives to set objectives and identify methods to reach those goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders
  • 10+ years of Experience leading large opportunity captures, including: Developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing team strategies, and identifying and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning proposal
  • Ability to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategy
  • Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors within DoD, DoJ and/or MDA
  • Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market
  • Proven experience working with geographically diverse teams; strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries to achieve results through others.
  • Possesses the skills and ability to empower and engage people and instill drive and passion into the organization
  • Clearance Requirement: Minimum Secret clearance is required. Top Secret clearance is preferred.
