Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision this position coordinates, directs, monitors, implements, tracks, trains, and reports activities related to External Service Providers.

Essential Functions: (List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)

Responsible for External Service Provider (ESP) structure strategy including outsourcing packages and bundling options.

Conduct cost planning within the scope of monthly actual/ target reporting, expected actual, operational and strategic planning.

Communicate upcoming changes to current and/or new business partners to optimize benefits and minimize cost and/or confusion.

Lead project management for service provider start-ups or new commissions including Ramp-up support for the External Service Provider (ESP).

Execute process and concept changes; Align process changes with the External Service Provider (ESP) including necessary contract changes.
Assist the MBUSI Facilities and/or Maintenance groups in coordinating needed repairs which require an adjustment by the External Service Provider (ESP). Perform random and structured audits of facility to identify any safety concerns, document and report any damages, etc. Assist or lead daily, weekly, monthly, reporting and filing of applicable chargebacks.

Work in project groups, lead projects, and develop/exchange lessons learned and best practices.

Assist with the creation of specification books, tendering and placing processes and works on the strategic direction of the External Service Provider (ESP) -Team and their tasks.

Performs other related duties as required including but not limited to year end physical inventories, container counts, missing parts reviews, yard audits, process audits, etc.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics; preferably with an automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or supplier or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Management with emphasis on launch/changeover activities

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Working knowledge of SAP ERP system or other ERP system (JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.)
Proven experience in project planning, monitoring and implementation in Logistics or closely related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to work in a team environment but also independently.
Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in MS Project and/or R-Plan.
Experience in Cost Management, Sourcing Process Planning and in Material Process Planning.
