SUMMARY:

Business Development Representative to develop a pipeline for assigned geography to meet assigned goals. The Outside Sales Representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales skills for setting B2B appointments. Position requires a hunter mentality with the ability to make a high volume of cold calls with no fear of rejection. Must be a team player, as this position interfaces with all departments, including Credit, Marketing, Lubricant Sales, Customer Service, and Commercial Fuel Operations on a regular basis. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to develop and cultivate leads through making 50+ outbound cold calls per day
  • Strong clear voice with high energy and good phone presence.
  • Analyze the choices and financial capacities of every customer and suggest suitable products
  • Responsible to close sales deals and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Make efforts to achieve the short term sales targets and improve goodwill of the organization
  • Give all customers prompt and courteous service using relationship and communication skills.
  • Operate the CRM (customer relationship management) systems and ensure authentic information is available with the company.
  • Must be successful at managing leads generated through various marketing activities in CRM.
  • Must continually update CRM, documenting all activities with prospects and customers.
  • Educate and train prospects and acquired customers about Flyers products and services to create sales.
  • Ability to develop and make value added presentations.
  • Develop a working knowledge of business segments in the assigned geography.
  • Analyze sales reports and develop sales forecasts.
  • Build a pipeline large enough to meet annual goals.
  • Must have problem-solving abilities, with strong negotiating and exceptional listening skills.

  • Promote and support company image standards
  • Cross train and/or act as backup for other positions in the department
  • Adheres to all city, county, state and federal regulations
  • Stay familiar with the Company Handbook and Company Policies
  • Communicate effectively with team members in other departments to resolve problems and provide information as needed

  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. 2-3 years of outside sales experience where you met or exceeded your quota. Recent B2B selling experience 2-5 years in a similar business environment preferred. Other education/experience may be considered as a substitute .

LANGUAGE and/or COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other TMs.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in order to carry out routine tasks in relation to the essential duties of the position.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Ability to operate a personal computer with a general understanding of file management and Microsoft Office programs. Experienced at managing a sales territory using CRM.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
