JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing and growing US house account base as the lead sales representative. Develop new customer base by responding to leads generated via Edlong’s marketing channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage US house account by proactively touching base by phone and email to build contact network within customer R&D for potential development opportunities to expand sales revenue at existing accounts.
· Assess and qualify incoming sales lead from multiple channels (company email inbox, website, telephone, tradeshows, etc.) jointly with Applications department. Initiate follow up via phone and email to qualified opportunities.
· Execute new customer development campaign against identified target markets for existing products.
· Make follow up contacts to customers who received samples.
· Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
· Route qualified opportunities where appropriate to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
· Enter and update account information, and maintain and expand database of prospects in Salesforce.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or related technical field
- 1-2 years experience in food industry, preferably in Sales, Business Development or Marketing of food ingredients. Experience in R&D role is beneficial.
- Language: fluent verbal and writing skills in English.
- Skilled in Microsoft office software
