This position is responsible for prospecting, calling, and qualifying new business opportunities to grow our business. and for coordinating business development and lead management processes. Once new business is secured, the Business Development Representative will maintain the new partnership through scheduling loads and customer service until ultimately passing the customer off to our inside sales and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

Researching and qualifying potential new customers

Using strategic sales techniques during warm and cold calls to identify customer needs and secure new business

Maintain new customer relationships

Help plan loads and move new customer freight

Experience we’d love you to have:

Trucking/transportation sales with an asset based trucking company

Cold calling sales experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field

Lane pricing and freight market knowledge

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, and a business intelligence tool
