Job Summary:
Plan, direct, or coordinate the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Develop new business strategies to increase the value added service offerings to existing and new customers. Responsible for recommending market competitive pricing to leadership for existing and new programs. Recommend and develop growth oriented markets for service offerings Own sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Manage and drive activities of the sales organization utilizing formal account plans and sales KPI’s. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and working capital requirements and monitor the preferences of customers and industry trends. Identify target accounts and close on new business.
Essential Functions:
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:
- Read and maintain a working knowledge of quality requirements for complex cosmetic and dimensional criteria
- Create and prepare reports for the Sales Objectives and performance to those objectives
- Interact with customers to provide technical support
- Interact with customers to provide solutions for complaint support
- Interact with customers to sell the value proposition of the company
- Establish strategy and execute sales objectives of all new sales activities
- Focus on cultivating new business through own initiative and by directing outside sales groups efforts
- Provide sales leadership toward the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values
- Development and training of new potential outside sales groups
- Manage the CRM system for appropriate traceability and reporting of activities in the sales process
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans
- Build effective communication and relationships with customers at the decision making and functional levels
- Provide timely and accurate reports from all prospecting, customer interactions and sales group meetings
- Perform administrative functions to complete sales cycle, including managing customer quotations and follow up with customers on development
- Provide timely and accurate information to the engineering group from customers and drive accurate and timely quotations
- Engage in Quarterly Management Reviews and provide sales reporting and customer satisfaction results
- Own the complete sales cycle process
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Business or combination of equivalent experience
- Experience: 7-10 Years of sales experience with a plastics manufacturing organization (preferably injection molding) 3-5 years manufacturing sales leadership experience in a business to business selling environment
- Effective ppresentation experience required for a variety of constituents * Computer Skills: Proficient with computers and knowledgeable in Microsoft
- Track record of identifying and closing new business
- Highly polished sales hunter capable of communicating effectively with customer decision makers and decision making bodies as well as engineering functional levels
- Willingness to travel as needed and appropriate
