Looking for a motivated, driven, sales minded individual to join our Machine Sales team.
Responsibilities
H.O. Penn Machinery Company, the Caterpillar Equipment dealer for lower NY and all of CT is looking for a
Construction Equipment - Inside Sales Representative to join their sales team.
This position can be based out of either our Poughkeepsie NY or Bloomingburg NY location.
Directly reporting to the Corporate Machine Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Professionally handle walk in inquiries and secure business when opportunities arise
- Create an immediate buying atmosphere for walk in customers
- Utilize all of the sales tools to assist in closing business
- When appropriate pass along qualified walk in leads to outside Sales Reps
- Contribute to the success of the Machine Sales Department
- Maintain a minimum average of 10 phone calls per day to qualify accounts
- Update the customer’s account/machine information in the CRM system
- Manage accounts effectively
- Develop and utilize telephone sales concepts to maximize sales call effectiveness
- Support Sales Department operational needs
- Support marketing efforts with activities such as attending customer events and campaign follow up
- Gather and maintain competitive information to be shared with the sales force
- Help maintain information contained within deal sheet templates
- Act as a liaison between departments to share information and ensure customer needs are addressed
- Effectively and efficiently contribute to the quality of the customers' experience with H.O. Penn Machinery Company
- Continually strive to develop product/industry knowledge and business intellect
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel to other branches as needed
- Must be computer proficient, including experience using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. CRM proficiency is helpful.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively articulate features and benefits to demonstrate value
- Must have strong organizational and follow up skills
- Must be able to demonstrate self-motivation
