MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Foodservice Sales Analyst provides various support activities for National Account Customers including those shared by GPI’s Foodservice and Folding Carton business units. They support the customer experience for some of GPI’s largest customers. The Sales Analyst also plays a significant role in the partnership of the company’s two primary converting business units where national account customers are shared. These activities provide our customers with a seamless experience that provides them with continuity of service as they fluctuate between multiple product lines offered by GPI. They understand and align business operations and sales as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • 70% - Manage internal and external customer inquiries via email and phone:
  • Current business – forecasting, coordinate and manages all customer promotions/graphic changes, timelines, art requests, production and inventory reporting to customer, invoicing for incremental costs.
  • New business development - (coordinates price quotes, sample request forecasting, graphics time lines, production and inventory reporting to customer and our customer service team on order information, or the plants on production schedule to ensure no break in supply.
  • 10% - Generate month end sales reports from GPI database.
  • 15% - Monitor inventory levels weekly and review schedule and demand for specific items that fall above/below target levels. Reviews slow moving/Aged inventory. Generate inventory reports for customers as requested. There are often some required weekly during a design change. Supports GPI accounts receivable with investigation of payment discrepancies
  • 5% - HAVI Quality team - Acts as liaison between HAVI quality team and GPI quality teams regarding information from HAVI website. Login into website and check for messages, complaints, ratings regularly. Update quality spreadsheet. Access needed: HAVI systems (form to be filled out and sent to HAVI)

JOB DETAIL:

  • Maintain forecasts for all accounts; adjusting monthly and as needed based on changes in sales demand. Prepare tracking reports weekly, send monthly adjustments based on forecast calendar.

  • Lead bi-weekly forecasting meetings with the EAS (efficient assured supply) team to review expected demand and provide feedback to help develop accurate forecasts.
  • Lead bi-weekly supply meetings with customers to review inventory levels and address any concerns.

  • Act as liaison between customer quality teams and GPI quality teams regarding information from customer’s website. Login into website and check for messages, complaints, ratings regularly. Update quality spreadsheet.
  • Generate month end sales reports from GPI database.
  • Coordinate and manage all customer promotions/graphic changes – timelines, art requests, production and inventory reporting to customer, invoicing for incremental costs.
  • Execute customer product sample requests.
  • Monitor inventory levels weekly and review schedule and demand for specific items that fall above/below target levels. (Partners with Customer Service and Production Planning)
  • Generate inventory reports for customers as requested.
  • Assist in coordination of new product introduction or expansion.
  • Coordinate quotes for new business requests.
  • Facilitate customer requests including, but not limited to, product information and pricing updates.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable in resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Assist Credit Analyst in clearing account deductions.
  • Process request for special projects, reports, presentations, or specific documents needed (NAFTA)
  • Manage damage claims including disposition notification of credits for customers.
  • Assist in coordination of spec forms for customers. Act as liaison between customer and the manufacturing site Quality Manager.
  • Submit new pricing reports based on contract escalator/de-escalator clause. Enter pricing into customer data base if needed.
  • Champion the Foodservice & Folding Carton integration initiative.
  • Serve as back up to Key Account Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Customer service, experience managing national accounts.
  • Finance, manufacturing preferred.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Four year degree preferred or;
  • Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
  • Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Financial Acumen.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
