Retirement Sales Plan Specialist Job Opening

Hooker & Holcombe, a regional leader in retirement plan consulting, seeks a Retirement Plan Sales Specialist. If you are an experienced sales professional with high energy and have the motivation needed to help drive growth and deliver excellence, then you may be the right candidate for this rarely available position.

We are located in a beautiful office park with a country-like setting, yet close to all major highways. Building amenities include gym facilities, a full-service cafeteria, walking/jogging trails and covered parking.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to originate sales meetings via phone calls and other tools, and to close new business
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, defined benefit services and online pension administration
• Ability to discuss in detail recordkeeping operations and TPA services for defined contribution plans
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with financial and human resource professionals with the goal of earning their retirement plan business
• Complete sales reports, expense reports and other special tasks as requested
• Attend conferences and networking events; expected travel is 40%, with limited overnight travel

Experience and Skills Requirements

• Strong understanding of ERISA
• A minimum of 5 years of sales origination experience in the retirement plan industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Superior time management skills required
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with significant telephone and personal interactions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM and web applications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Currently have or willingness to achieve one or more of the following designations: QKA, ARPS, CRPS
• Insurance license not required
