Job Title: Account Executive

Reports to: Director of Sales & Operations

Summary

Solicits new customers in order to aid achievement of company goals using a variety of methods to secure new Office Coffee Service, Retail, Food Service, and Convenience Store accounts within an established territory by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops prospect list from business directories, trade associations and all other available sources. Methods of prospecting will include cold-calling, phone solicitation, and appointment setting.
  • Drives company or personal vehicle between company and customer or potential customer locations to perform job duties.
  • Presents company offerings through product demonstrations and sales proposals including price quotes.
  • Coordinates customer setup and transition to regular route service based on knowledge of the company’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares and complies with mandatory reporting systems.
  • Participates in trade shows and special events to promote the company's products and services.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and the market in general.
  • Works closely with operations on equipment and products requirements for customers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma OR General Education degree (GED) AND at least 2 years of outside sales (food & beverage) and cold calling experience; OR Bachelors Degree, preferably in Sales or Marketing
  • Valid driver’s license required and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prepare documents and reports with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Daily travel required for sales calls and related activities. Limited or occasional overnight travel.
