We're looking for an individual with excellent prospecting, presentation and networking skills, who will build long term relationships with our customers (e.g., schools, districts, educational organizations). The Sales Account Manager Will
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales, establish customer/prospect relationships, and achieve assigned sales quotas and targets
- Increase awareness and use of ARC products and services in educational settings, through meaningful customer/prospect dialog
- Acquire and maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to best serve ARC customers, and to offer prospects a range of options, potential outcomes, and ARC solutions relevant to their requirements or challenges
- Prospect for potential customers using various direct and indirect methods
- Deliver presentations to district and school administration and decision makers
- Draft and deliver proposals
- Work with internal curriculum and instruction teams to address customer requirements
- Develop and maintain territory plans, outlining how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
- Develop and maintain key account plans, identifying opportunities to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales
- Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
- Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
- Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers
Primary Qualifications
- Successful sales experience or relevant experience in the education sector
- Proven prospecting skills
- The drive, determination, and creative thinking necessary to overcome obstacles and achieve assigned goals, in a positive, "can do" way
- Demonstrated ability to identify complex customer needs and determine appropriate solutions in a consultative sales approach
- Results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exemplary presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with literacy solutions is highly desirable
- Knowledge of ELL, bilingual, and dual language programs
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English
