Job Summary


The E-Commerce Business Development Manager is responsible for the Gabriella White brands’, Summer Classics and Gabby, online strategic growth initiatives. The position is primarily responsible for playing a highly visible role in maintaining relationships with key online accounts as well as working cross-functionally to grow sales and continually improve upon the Company’s digital channel.


Essential Job Duties


1. Liaises with partners on pricing, promotions, inventory management, content needs and programmatic strategies that will grow E-Commerce business and improve ROI; develops new relationships and partnerships with appropriate approved partners; manages requests for photos and samples and puts packing photos together for damaged items and makes product performance recommendations for operations.

2. Updates and loads products and images, fresh content, improved merchandising and product content and identifies areas of opportunity and the plan to execute; manages promotions and event and communications across all partner platforms; researches competition and initiates pricing strategy across online environments and ensures vendors are following minimum advertised pricing via software solution.

3. Works with MIS and Customer Service to ensure the Company is aligned with its partners on data transfer as comprehensively as possible along with building product content and copy for SEO; uncovers new opportunities based on ongoing data analyses.

4. Ensures products are shipped on a timely basis and the end-customer experience and reviews are being responsibly managed; makes recommendations to internal customer service team to continuously improve customer experience.

5. Produces info load sheets, promotions/curated events, content management, etc.

6. Analyzes performance/vendor scorecard data and makes internal recommendations at Gabby/Summer Classics (Ex. Damage/defect, site interaction data information product development opportunities, sales data to identify growth accelerants and underperforming areas of the business, etc.).

7. Builds and cascades VTO for areas of responsibility.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Internet Marketing or closely related field required; MBA Preferred;
  • Three or more years as an E-Commerce Account Manager driving sales, or as a Product Manager, Buyer or Merchandiser – preferably in Home Furnishings with prior E-Commerce experience required;
  • Knowledge of Web analytic software that tracks site traffic and success;
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, ACCESS and EDI;
  • Experience creating optimal content and keywords to drive traffic for a target market;
  • Strong understanding of responsive technology, digital advertising, blogging, Pay per Click, and E-Commerce platforms; WordPress and Magento preferred;
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required;
