The Technical Director (TD) is a systems engineer responsible for selecting key electronics technologies utilized in the development of products and product families for the company. The TD functions as the intermediary between the business development manager or program manager who collects the requirements from the customer, and the engineering department who implements the design. The TD roles and responsibilities include technical support to sales, systems engineering, project engineering, technologist, and product line engineering.

Requires:

Education : Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or related discipline with knowledge of Intel server and workstation architectures and/or ten years of experience in computer hardware development or deployment with an interest in mechanical, electrical, and software systems, or an intense interest in server class computer architectures.

Skills : Knowledge of computer hardware and parts. Clear understanding of how to develop a computer server, integrate related technologies, and options to maximize utility and value by a customer. Desired characteristics include a passion for computer technology and architectures and/or experience in rugged packaging of COTS technologies for heavy duty industrial or military applications.

Physical : May be required to lift and grasp computer parts. Ability to read a computer screen and electrical/mechanical drawings is required.

Miscellaneous : Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are required to provide excellent service to customers and coworkers. Must have the ability to work with all levels of the organization, be able to travel to customer sites, and provide occasional availability outside of core business hours. Knowledge and mastery of MS Office suite of tools.
