Overview

The District Fitness Manager will primarily support the District Manager through efforts to increase fitness revenue production and fitness client retention. The DFM will also be responsible for educating and coaching our Management Team, Fitness Coaches and Membership Advisors in all aspects of our processes and programming to enhance our member and guest experience. In addition, our DFMs will be a certifying agent for various aspects of the Gold’s Gym Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support District Managers in increasing fitness revenue production
  • Support District Managers in overall fitness expense management to deliver expected fitness profitability
  • Educate Gold’s Gym Managers and Fitness Coaches on fitness skills, expectations, processes, systems and offerings
  • Provide support to District Managers with fitness business growth and development feedback
  • Provide analysis of fitness key metric trends at market and gym level
  • Lead the implementation of Gold’s Gym coaching curriculums
  • Be a certifying agent of Gold’s Gym for new and existing fitness offerings
  • Assist gym level management in auditing and enforcing Coach expectations
  • Partner with National Support Center team members to assess, design and implement strategies for all Gold’s Gym training platforms (i.e. GOLD’S STUDIO, GGX, and 1-on-1 coaching)
  • Actively partake in Gold’s fitness offerings to observe and provide feedback to coaches.

Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to travel out of district up to 25% of the time as needed
  • Possess current certification from the NASM, ACSM, NSCA or ACE preferred
  • Possess current CPR / AED certification
  • Willing to obtain other certifications as directed, and/or as position requires
  • Pass the practical and written portion of the Gold’s Gym Foundations of Coaching Course
  • Bachelor’s degree in exercise-related field is preferred
  • Two years of professional experience in the fitness industry or one year as a Fitness Manager
  • Excellent management, communication, and customer service skills
  • Results-focused, positive attitude with a passion for helping develop others
  • May not lead certifications or training for formats outside of Gold’s Gym

Sessions taught: Current Class Rate for all classes taught. May train up to 10 sessions per pay period.
