The Key Account Executive-Canada position includes management of wholesale and retail accounts in a defined sales territory primarily focused on the Ontario market. The position would be based in eastern Canada and would travel 50%-70% of the time. This position requires prior sales experience and advanced key account management skills are preferred.. The role will involve driving assigned business plan achievement and developing business relationships. Assigned customer portfolio will be dependent upon experience and candidate capabilities. Success in this role will provide advancement opportunities within global Cooper operations.
Job Specific Duties:
Execute the company’s objectives in quota sales attainment, new business development and effectively growing the business commensurate with Coopers strategic plan initiatives.
Working with customers to maintain and build strong customer relationships while maximizing Cooper’s sales and profit returns by achieving business plan objectives.
Working with our forecasting and production teams to accurately align and realize sales potential.
Managing customer events and promotions to ensure our messaging is maximized.
Creation of a process to effectively and consistently communicate relative program and sales analytics that the field sales team can utilize to maintain alignment with account goals.
Have sensitivity to Cooper’s book of business within the Retail and Wholesale channels while expanding footprint of key accounts.
Developing relationships with all key stakeholders within key accounts.
Proactive preparation to understand and have an ability to communicate the business outlook and key drivers on a weekly or as needed basis.
Advance Job Duties:
Creating and executing a three year business plan for each account
Incorporate advanced supply chain management skills in working with key accounts on a regular cadence.
Demonstrate advanced business and financial acumen.
Have understanding of Coopers book of business within the Retail and Wholesale channels while expanding the key account footprint in a manner which is consistent with our overall company expansion strategy.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, related field or equivalent experience.
The position is located in Canada
Strong communication skills, both verbal, written on the phone and in person
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn basic EDI transactions and implications
Positive attitude and demonstration of taking initiative
