Manages the E-Commerce Department of the Credit Union, this includes providing leadership
and support to employees for all E-Commerce related services, in accordance with established
policies and procedures, and to ensure that the Credit Union is a leader in providing these
services and positioned to take advantage of emerging new trends in Payment systems. In
order to achieve the objectives of the Credit Union and maintain good member/employee
relations, these responsibilities shall be executed in a professional and courteous manner.

FUNCTIONS 

Responsible for member marketing of the Credit Union products and ensuring that the
E-Commerce Department meet the needs of the membership and the Credit Union. 

Responsible to ensure E-Commerce products, services and staff are in compliance with
all federal and state regulations. 

Responsible for coordinating the design, development, implementation, operation, risk
mitigation strategies, and selling of E-Commerce department services and other
assigned products and services. 

Responsible for analyzing and evaluating current trends of Payment systems and
recommends new Payment products and services. 

Manages employees, ensures adequate and appropriate training, hires, sets
department schedule, and addresses performance issues in the E-Commerce
department. 

Responsible for management of E-Commerce settlement services. This includes, but is
not limited to ACH/Wires, Shared Branching, EFT Transfers, Item Processing, ATM/ITM
fleet, ATM Networks, Card Networks, Surcharge Free Networks, IRA program, HSA
program, and Over Draft Privilege program and other settlements services as assigned. 

Responsible for the efficiency of the processes and delivery of service in accordance
with MVFCU’s core values from the E-Commerce department. 

Manages Payment related vendor relationships. 

Provide monthly reports to Chief Operations Officer on product and services managed
by the E-Commerce Department. 

Participate in the Change Control Board as the expert in Payments systems. 

Maintain familiarity with policies and procedures, as well as regulations pertinent to job
responsibilities and recommendations of policies or procedural changes as necessary.

Responsible for reviewing assigned GL accounts on a monthly basis and providing
quarterly forecasted updates for assigned accounts. 

Assists in the creation of capital budget and project budget for new services related to
Payments. 

Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.

AUTHORITY
The incumbent is authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the responsibilities
assigned by the Chief Operations Officer so long as such action does not deviate from
established policies and represents sound business judgment; except for specific limitations
placed on the incumbent by the manager or by direct assignment to other personnel.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE POSITION 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
Work experience of twelve years or more in applicable field would be considered in lieu
of the degree. 

Minimum Experience: Five years of progressive management experience in a team
environment. Five years’ experience in E-Commerce, settlement services, card
networks and commercial account management. Prior experience with MVFCU or other
financial institution in area of product development may be considered in lieu of a
portion of the above experience. 

Personal Characteristics and Skills: Must be of the highest integrity, in good health and
with personal habits above reproach. Must have the ability to meet and work
effectively with people of varying levels of education, be able to communicate, both
written and orally with same. Must have the ability to impart ideas, concepts and facts
to individuals of varying learning levels and abilities. Must have a high degree of self-
motivation, accuracy and organizational skills. Must be able to take direction and seek
counsel of supervisor as necessary. Technical skills must include the ability to operate
calculator and computer terminal. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
