Description: Public Awareness and Pipeline Safety consultant who can maintain existing relationships with current clientele list within the oil and gas pipeline industry. As well as identifies, contacts and closes prospective clients.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Oversight of yearly task list outlined by client contracts.
2. Attends external client programs in various states throughout the year.
3. Prepares agenda and leads client meetings without supervision.
4. Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific opportunities to strengthen our presence in the industry.
5. Strengthens relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; and researching and recommending new opportunities or improvements.
6. Works in cooperation with internal departments to successfully implement programs.
7. Develops and refines sales and marketing techniques for the company.
8. Promote and sell additional services and software to clients.
9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by researching oil and gas industry, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
10. Contributes to team effort by actively participating in staff and team meetings.
11. Travel requirements estimated at 60%.
12. Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year sales, or other related experience generally required.
  • Effective sales and negotiating skills and proven sales experience/history.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and job instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to clients, coworkers, and management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, coworkers and management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to operate computer software, to include, Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks and CRM.
  • Ability to use basic department equipment and tools, such as telephone, computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
