Position Summary: The VP of Sales is responsible for: achieving the company's top line retail sales revenue goals; developing strategic sales plans based on company goals; meeting the sales commitments & expectations of our manufacturers; developing & maintaining manufacturer & distributor partner relationships; hiring, training & supporting the sales team; conception of promotions, incentives and creative initiatives that drive sales; trade show management; equipment inventory management; driving aggressive sales growth and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction for the organization. Reporting responsibilities will include the regional sales representatives and the sales administration/purchasing specialist position. In addition, the VP of Sales will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for the overall success of the company as a whole and for building employee-owner shareholder value & wealth.
The ideal candidate will be an effective leader with in-depth industry experience and a true passion for the food service equipment industry. They will have a strong record of building high performance teams and outstanding relationships with internal and external customers. They will possess a strong drive to achieve goals, work exceptionally well in a team environment, promote the Midwest culture and ensure extraordinary customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Experience:
5+ years in Sales Management (Equipment Sales & Industry Related Experience is a Plus)
College Degree or Equivalent Experience
Extensive Consultative Sales Experience with a Proven Track Record of Success
Ability to Travel (Approximately 65 -75%)
Highly Self-Motivated, Results-Oriented, Strong Work Ethic & Effective Problem Solver
Strong Communication, Coaching & Leadership Skills
Ability to Build the Business & Manage Multi-level Client Relationships within Large and Chain Accounts
Ability to Create & Deploy Strong Business Development Plans & Programs
Ability to Hire, Train, Coach & Hold Accountable a Sales Team that Consistently Achieves Goal
Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
Solid Computer Aptitude with CRM & Microsoft Office Proficiency
