An industry leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment, we currently have a Inside Sales Team Lead opportunity at Specialty Chemical Distribution located in Germantown, WI

The Inside Sales Team Lead is responsible for insuring the team delivers premier service to customers through efficient planning and monitoring of workload, motivating, recognizing and coaching team members, and problem solving. The Team Lead maintains a high level of professionalism at all times while guiding and directing the activities of team members to improve the productivity and accuracy of the department. Additionally, the position is responsible for assisting the manager with analyses and implementation of training, scheduling and gainsharing programs. In addition, this person remains responsible for all Inside Sales Customer Service Representative or Account Specialist Activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience of related industrial experience
  • Associate’s Degree from a four-year college in a related field of study or equivalent training or experience
  • Above average PC skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office products and windows-based software
  • Experience working with ERP Systems, preferably Prophet 21 and Intelex
  • Must be meticulous with above average detail orientation, accuracy and follow-through
  • Ability to be self-directed and individually resourceful, working independently but also within a fast-paced team environment
  • Maintains professionalism at all times and has strong customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of effective leadership, coaching and training skills and abilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, assign and direct workload daily within the team to ensure proper balance
  • Plan and proactively analyze team weekly, monthly and yearly workload to insure proper support and balance
  • Recommend appropriate resource changes to Manager for consideration
  • Prepare, analyze and provide metrics reports and recommendations to Manager
  • Collaborate with IT & CI to generate and run ad-hoc reports for Inside Sales and customers, including ODBC
  • Coordinate and assist with monitoring phone quality assurance and email etiquette
  • Audit orders, quotes and other process for adherence to standard
  • Assist in training and mentoring of team
