KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • He/She will oversee all aspects of assigned customer(s) with the goal of meeting or exceeding agreed upon customer performance metrics.
  • Establish, build, and maintain a professional business relationship that provides exceptional service to targeted customer(s) and enables Miracapo to achieve identified strategic goals.
  • Forecast sales by SKU by targeted customer by analyzing records of present and past sales, current market conditions and trends, change in costs, seasonality, competition, and customer expectations. Manages the forecast and works with scheduling and fulfillment teams to ensure that both short and long term planning needs are aligned. Tracks forecast accuracy and works with the customer to improve as required.
  • Provide detailed customer presentations to the MPC team to provide insight into customer performance, opportunities and issues on a quarterly basis (or as requested). Meet with the Customer on a quarterly basis to review MPC performance against key Performance Scorecard elements including delivery performance, product quality, consumer complaints, new product execution and other customer specific metrics.
  • Work with MPC management to define Key Performance Indicator goals for targeted customers and use those KPI’s to drive required corrective or preventative actions.
  • Lead a cross-functional Miracapo Steering Team for identified customers that ensures all KPI’s, P&L, and Contract Adherence is being properly and effectively managed.
  • Recognizes and develops opportunities with targeted customer and leads cross-functional efforts to develop, commercialize and deliver new and innovative products, product platforms and value added services. This will include working with MPC Marketing to understand economic and market trends in combination with a thorough understanding of assigned customer(s) and their strategies to ensure we align identified opportunities with customer needs.
  • Manages profitability and cost components of targeted customer products. Leads the development and execution of plans to address profitability shortfalls by working with the customer and cross functionally within MPC to drive required improvement. Applies the same approach to identify continuous improvement opportunities that would benefit both the customer and MPC.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) required, preferably in business, sales, marketing, or related field. Master's degree in similar fields is highly desirable.
  • Three to Five or more years of customer management experience in a key account management role in a multi-plant environment. Experience in made-to-order food manufacturing (USDA- or FDA-regulated), consumer packaged goods, frozen or refrigerated foods, private label, and/or contract manufacturing experience required. Experience working with RetailLink preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing sales by selling new business to existing customers in a food or consumer packed goods industry.
  • Ability to drive new projects from sales through to commercialization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and working across an organization, particularly with R&D, Project Management and Operations, to satisfy the expectations of a targeted customer.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to create and deliver effective sales presentations to a wide variety of audiences, both internal and external. This includes superior listening skills, the ability to think effectively “on your feet,” and the ability to persuade or influence. An outstanding negotiator that will seek effective, profitable solutions to problems/opportunities with customers.
  • Previous participation or leadership in the development of costing models and pricing negotiations with customers is helpful.
  • Previous operational experience in a manufacturing or supply chain leadership position preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and similar PC tools and programs.
  • Pleasant, outgoing, approachable demeanor that encourages communication and relationship building. Can be both a leader and a team player depending on the circumstances and needs.
