The Autosaver Group is hiring a Sales Consultant for our Bennington Subaru location.

If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for selling and you enjoy working with customers, then we want you to be part of our team as a Sales Consultant for our new and used vehicle inventory. Our Sales Team is extremely knowledgeable about our vehicles and services, the industry, and our market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, safety features and functions for both new and used vehicle inventories. As a Sales Consultant, you will present new and pre-owned vehicles to customers in an attractive and highly informative fashion that promotes a prompt sale and maintain an ongoing relationship with customers to encourage networking and repeat business.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), a positive attitude, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Previous sales experience (in any industry) is a plus, but not required. Successful candidates must be able to pass all factory tests and become a certified salesperson.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Realizes that business is built on customer satisfaction and devotes himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers
  • Determines each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
  • Demonstrates new and used vehicles including test drives
  • Delivers new and used vehicles to customers, ensuring the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork and laying the foundation for customer loyalty
  • Attends sales meetings
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
  • Maintains a prospect development system
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers
  • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals
  • Reports to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses
  • Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
  • Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keeps abreast of technological changes in the product
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be willing and able to pass all factory tests and become a certified salesperson
  • Must be able to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
  • Must be insurable by Company's liability insurance company
  • Must be legally and technically able to operate company and customer-owned vehicles safely
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Must be willing to follow Company safety policies and practices and immediately report any and all accidents to a Supervisor
