Merchandiser Set HC Full Time

This is your chance to help build the displays in stores where thousands of people will shop year-round. A full time Merchandiser Set HC works in new retail stores building out the aisles and displays before the grand opening. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and feel comfortable using tools for construction and home repair. You will assemble steel shelving, create displays, and merchandise products according to specification. Building the foundation of retail experience for shoppers at assigned locations. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Must be mechanically inclined and adept with basic hand tools.

• Ability to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision.

• Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others.

• Ability to communicate with email and basic internet skills.

Position Summary

The Set Merchandiser works in new stores before the grand opening. This position requires the use of basic hand tools. You will assemble steel shelving, create displays, and merchandise products according to Plan-o-gram. In addition, you will place price signs and POP (Point of Purchase) materials.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Relations

• Communicate effectively both internally with Advantage Solutions management and externally with all customers

• Build rapport with Clients and Customers

• Field questions and proactively develop action plans to resolve issues

Construction

• Assemble shelving and create displays

Merchandising

• Merchandise products according to Plan-o-gram

• Place price signs and point of purchase material

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports

• This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

• Travel is not an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is an essential duty or function of this job.

• Travel up to 95%

• Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. This position will require extensive out of town travel 4 -6 weeks at a time and most of the work is from 9 PM to 6 AM, Monday – Friday. Driving is an essential duty and function of this job

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Retail

• 0-2 years of previous experience in merchandising a plus

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Software/Tools:

• Must be mechanically inclined and adept with basic hand tools

• Ability to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision.

• Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others

• Ability to communicate with email and basic internet skills

Tools will be provided but can be provided by associate should they be more comfortable with their own tools.

• 18 Volt or Higher Impact Drill

• Extension for drill

• #2 Philips bits

• Nut Driver Set

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment from 9 PM to 6 AM. Typically requires the ability to travel, drive, and engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time.
