Position Summary:

Advanced Cell Diagnostics has an exciting opportunity for a U.S. Academic Sales Manager - Western U.S. This role will provide strong leadership for the Western U.S. Academic Sales Team. The successful candidate will devise and drive implementation of actionable sale strategies to achieve assigned business goals. In addition, accurate forecasting and strong collaboration with internal partners will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned sales quota for the U.S. Academic market.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to the Sr. Director of U.S. Sales, as requested.
  • Devise and drive implementation of successful sales strategies at the regional and individual territory levels.
  • Collaborate with internal partners within ACD to secure the appropriate marketing and technical resources to ensure sales success for all sales territories.
  • Develop a world class sales team through effective recruiting of top talent, coaching, training resources and accountability models.
  • Ensure best in class customer experience through active collaboration with internal partners to continually improve customer related processes.
  • Identify and appropriately assess all new market and business opportunities within the Academic market.
  • Ensure team compliance with established Salesforce processes. Also, strong collaboration with the ACD Salesforce Administrator is required.
  • Provide timely reporting on competitor activity in the Academic market.
  • Ensure team compliance with all corporate policies and timely submission of expense reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer connections at various levels of the academic customer organizations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Life Science Degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of demonstrated sales success in the academic life sciences research market.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in leading and influencing others within previous roles.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, entrepreneurial business environment
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to think strategically with demonstrated analytical and planning skills.
  • Broad knowledge of the most common molecular biology research applications.
  • Strong familiarity with IHC, gene expression profiling or in situ hybridization based technology products.
  • Work remotely, out of a Home office.
  • 30% field travel at minimum.
