Indigo Ag is partnering with growers to produce, store and deliver high quality, identity preserved grain to premium buyers across the U.S. Our logistics organization is responsible for ensuring our grain is moved on-time and any issues that arise are managed professionally and timely. The Indigo logistics team's top priority is to ensure a best-in-class experience for our growers, carrier partners and buyers while continuously seeking new solutions to address key pain points in the ag transportation industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new and established client/corporate transport accounts in assigned region to include: Cooperative & Independent Grain Companies; End Users: Feed Yards, Ethanol/Biofuel Companies, Mills, Crush Plants, etc.; Large Farm Operations
  • Foster, and maintain client/corporate transport accounts in assigned region
  • Collaborate with Grower Support Team & Regional Transport Managers to establish and execute new business initiatives
  • Build a book of business – lead dedicated/shared team members to build Indigo Transport supply and demand. Key delivery metrics include:
  • Revenue: total amount of payment processed for Transport;
  • Supply: number of shippers that sign up with Indigo Transport;
  • Demand: number of shippers enrolled for Transport and # of loads posted;
  • Profit: profitability of Indigo Transport
  • Create best-in class vendor experience for Indigo Transport
  • Keep an on-going pulse on regional freight cost and movements & patterns to capitalize on backhaul and other shipping opportunities for Indigo Transport Partners
  • Utilize working knowledge of region to advise clients on new Direct Ship opportunities for all commodity grain and feed ingredients including but not limited to:
  • Grains: YC, YSB, Wheat, Milo, Rice, Etc.
  • Dry/Wet Distiller's & Brewer's Grains
  • Soymeal/Soyhulls
  • Cottenseed Hulls & more
  • Work closely with internal Shipping Group to ensure timely and of accurate deliveries of assigned/promised loads from clients
  • Generates reports and present to senior Indigo leadership
  • Understand Regional Transport supply/demand and seasonality in order to formulate strategy, tactics, and programs necessary to meet quarterly goals and objectives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, or logistics/supply chain management
  • 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry strongly preferred (5+ year experience in target region, with transportation or agriculture experience)
  • Sales Experience
  • Agriculture/Transport, Operational Logistics, and/or Ag Brokering Experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrates evidence of lean/six sigma/continuous improvement experience and quantifiable results
