Symbia is seeking to hire a Sales Executive that will be responsible for both identifying new opportunities and managing inbound leads for our national network of 3PL locations. Identifying if the project is a fit and then developing a corresponding solution with the help of our solutions and operations team require great communication and interpersonal skills. Developing and nurturing relationships with prospects and the Symbia team will be essential to success in this role.

What will I do as a Sales Executive…

  • Manage your business pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term sustained success.
  • Prepares sales visits and presentations to deliver to potential customers.
  • Negotiate with developing customers to secure profitable rates and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Collaborate with team members to finalize the scope and solution for the new project.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols.
  • Update and manage proposals and sales process in Salesforce.
  • 30% travel is required
  • Position is Remote

What must I know as a Sales Executive…

  • Experience in managing a list of opportunities, ensuring the management and fulfillment of strategic targets, and in developing 3PL solutions.
  • Ability to articulate customer solutions including shopping cart integrations, warehouse operations and automation.
  • Ability to understand and develop transportation solutions including small parcel and freight.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools and concepts.
  • Experience in educating prospects on the value of utilizing a 3PL.
  • A proven track record of exceeding quota attainment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the logistics industry including eCommerce logistics, retailer logistics and transportation.
  • Independent self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide comprehensive advertising solutions to prospective clients.

What I must have as a Sales Executive…

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five or more years of executive level sales experience or experience in a sales support role with executive level exposure.
  • Experience in developing relationships with new customers and developing supply chain solutions that meet their needs.
  • Skilled in the operation of a variety of computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales CRM.
  • Experience with supply chain software including WMS, OMS, TMS, eCommerce shopping carts and EDI.
  • Positive attitude and "get it done" mentality.
