Work Shift:
1ST SHIFT (United States of America)Position Summary:
As a contributing team member, the Sales Account Manager will report directly to a Director of Sales DOS . The position will have regular interactions with the DOS, Tyson Prepared Specialist, Sales Support Specialist, and distributor regional sales manager; while focused on cultivating relationships and driving business with the top 300 operators in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey market. This person will be accountable for building relationships, selling in new items, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing efforts against plan. This position is expected to work cross functionally with various business units and trade teams to build new business, protect the core business, and create a competitive advantage; while attaining mix and volume targets within our value-added product tiers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and nurture professional relationships with assigned top operators within the market to achieve business objectives. Gather and maintain key insight for all assigned accounts including: size of business product opportunities, competitive set timing, and potential hurdles. Track progress using the tools provided reporting status so all applicable parties are aware. Manage all strategic initiatives. Work with Distribution Sales team and broker counterparts as needed to deliver against sales plans by managing customer presentations, marketing programs, expense management, complaints, and deduction resolution. Provide sales support at customer events. This may include but is not limited to: product sampling and presenting key features and benefits. Must be able to deliver against your volume goals and executive price strategies within the market place; manage spend associated with the volume and manage the mix of product sold.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience Food Service Manufacturing, Broker Sales Representative, or Distributor Sales Representative.
Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills, and conflict resolution skills.
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and ability to adapt to web-based process and procedures.
Travel expectations are to be able to efficiently cover the Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey market as Tyson, broker, and customer needs arise.
