Within Lawn Butler we have our sales team. This team is made up of a large group of skilled Account Managers that are responsible for the selling and management of landscaping and snow removal contracts. They meet with business professional customers and work with our operations team to ensure that quality and efficiency is provided.
This job will be a combination of customer relation management, sales, and project management. It is a salary plus commission position because the expectation will be that you find maintain your current portfolio of work as well as put in the sales efforts to make your portfolio grow even larger. The average contract you will be selling is $20,000-$30,000 annually.
Account Manager Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Commercial Landscaping preferred
- College Education preferred (Bachelor’s Degree in Green Industry, etc.)
- Excellent b2b customer service
- Skilled with b2b sales
- Adapt to rapid growth and policy change
- Must be at least 21 years old with driver’s license.
- A training period of 3 months minimum may be required to work out in the field and learn the product they will be selling
- Working Hours: 8am-5pm (40 hours weekly minimum. During heavy prospecting and season start you may work 55-60 Hours a week)
- May be required to stay longer to finish projects or to attend board meetings. Must be flexible
Account Manager Responsibilities
- Handle large contracts: average size $20,000-$30,000, renewed seasonally
- Manage corporate relations with commercial customers
- Diffuse heated situations & win loyalty (provide excellent customer service)
- Prepare Proposals & bids for customers
- Property inspections and report creation for customers
- Establish strong customer relations/ network professionally
- Proactively identify problems & come up with win-win solutions
- Learn the Landscape Maintenance Sales Cycle (When to prospect and how/when to close)
