Position Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the growing RRD Logistics Solutions team! This high-visibility sales position will concentrate on expanding our customer base within your assigned region, with responsibilities that include business development/prospecting, pricing, customer presentations, trade shows and other sales & marketing related functions. Since these activities extend across multiple departments, excellent communication skills and a technical aptitude are necessary.


The Regional Sales Representative position requires a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong desire to succeed in sales. You will use a consultative sales approach, will prospect for new business, and recommend innovative solutions based on customer needs. If you are financially driven, highly disciplined and are a competent and competitive sales professional, this is the job for you. Experience in Same Day/Next Day Courier, Parcel, LTL, and/or Truckload is preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth objectives and surpass assigned sales quota by successfully identifying new target accounts and closing logistics opportunities within the assigned region
  • Strengthen existing relationships and grow current account revenue organically
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands RRD’s customer base and strengthens our position and customer awareness throughout the local market
  • Provide customer and competitive feedback to management to ensure your efforts and our services are aligned with both market needs and economics
  • Identify and communicate any market shifts and/or new products necessary to drive success
  • Manages multiple assignments simultaneously while communicating a thorough knowledge of internal and external logistics products, services and technologies
  • Protect the RRD Logistics Service Promise by ensuring operating procedures are followed
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Required Skills
Job Qualification, Education, & Skill Requirements

  • College degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge and work experience in Parcel, LTL, Truckload or Same Day/Next Day Courier is preferred.
  • Effectively navigate the complexities associated with a large, multi-national organization
  • Driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated. Has the ability to work efficiently and independently – meeting sales objectives in an unsupervised work environment
  • Proven face-to-face and phone prospecting skills and success in closing new opportunities on a routine basis
  • Experience in preparing and presenting professional presentations and proposals to C-level and front-line staff.
  • Commitment to providing and responding quickly to customer needs when necessary - resolving any service related issues and maintaining a positive customer experience
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Candidates with bilingual/multilingual capabilities encouraged to apply
