In this exciting role, the Outside Sales Representative (Rep) for TII is responsible for assisting the National Account team with account retention & growth along with qualification of new Leads. Implementing upon the agreed Sales & Marketing Plan, the Rep will meet both personal and business goals of expanding TII's existing customer base and acquiring new business. The Rep will work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists National Account team in executing annual business plan during the fiscal year, which will focus the Account Manager on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
  • Provides effective presentations of the Travel Insured travel protection product line.
  • Attain a full and complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Conducts effective business planning conversations with members of existing travel agencies to drive Organic Growth.
  • Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs, webinars, training offered to agency clients, prospects and company employees.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to meet their business issues.
  • Assists in the implementation of Profit Center marketing plans as needed.
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
  • Qualifies and disseminates Leads generated through Pardot and other company Lead Generation programs.
  • Maintains accurate records of all daily activities including sales calls, presentations, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Key Competencies, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Ability to study for and attain personal lines licensure (materials provided; study time incorporated into work schedule).
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with technical selling skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the sales process to include lead generation through close, to account retention & growth.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with pricing and proposal models.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to effectively gather data and concisely prepare detailed business reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills / strong listening skills.
  • High comfort level cold calling/prospecting.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  • Personable/outgoing/can do attitude.
  • Experience with customer relationship software (i.e. Salesforce.com) preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%
