Overview

The Inside Sales Manager leads a team of Quotations Agents and Inside Sales Representatives in processing and managing quotations and orders. This position is responsible for providing a productive and motivating work environment and addressing any issues/disputes from customers. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This work environment is challenging and fast-paced. You will be working directly with Tyler Union’s Executive Team. Strong communication and analytical skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Inside Sales team to ensure customer’s expectations and quality of service are met.
  • Set performance goals and realistic expectations to ensure quality of work.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to expedite orders and effectively communicate customer and departmental needs.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate customer plant visits.
  • Set priorities for your team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action.
  • Provide direction, training, guidance and support to those that fall directly under your supervision.
  • Coach and guide employees on growth opportunities and personal development to maximize potential.
  • Model and implement corporate initiatives and be the voice of Inside Sales in meetings.
  • Effectively build rapport and set clear expectations with all Sales employees and be the conduit for Inside and Outside Sales teams.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to guarantee external customer requirements are fulfilled while ensuring internal abilities remain sustainable.
  • Provide monthly reporting to upper management on Inside Sales performance metrics.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with all divisions of Sales department.
  • Share all relevant information with upper management as needed.
  • Bring forward recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and manufacturing, sales, service, and accounting to resolve status, order accuracy, production, delivery and billing issues.
  • Performs various other miscellaneous duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

Previous management experience required.
5+ years Sales experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
Working knowledge of ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Knowledge of manufacturer/distributor supply chain desired.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel mandatory.
Strong communication, organization and people skills.
Assertive individual with attention to detail.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Analytical and effective negotiator and decision maker.
Ability to effectively adapt to changing environment, prioritize and handle multiple projects.
High level of discretion.
