Piano Sales Consultant Job Opening

The Piano Sales Consultant position is critical to West Music’s success in meeting our mission of assisting customers and allowing them to Play now. Play for life.

Sales Consultants are responsible for exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs and providing assistance in selecting merchandise by sharing in-depth product information to connect customers with the right product and drive sales. Our Piano Sales Consultants work with individual customers, local businesses, they develop institutional relationships with local colleges and universities, and create relationships with local area teachers. This position assumes responsibility for sales, events management, lead/ prospect generation, and promotion.

West Music currently has an opening for a full-time Piano Retail Sales Consultant in our Urbandale, Iowa store.

Required Qualifications:

• Passion for music. The ability to play Piano is required, but your skills do not need to be at a professional player level.
• The ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends (primarily Saturdays but occasional Sundays may be needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Business, or related field desired.
• Prior retail or outside sales experience preferred.
