Overview
We have an opportunity for an Account Development Manager to join our team at Kaman. This position can be based anywhere in the country and must have great internet access and the ability to travel. In this role, the Account Development Manager will manage the Account Development group, providing leadership and vision for developing business with existing and newly acquired national account customers. Design and oversee implementation of strategies to ensure KIT’s long-term success with National Account customers. Provide actionable data and processes to improve customer relationships and drive sales and margin growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Translates KIT strategic objectives into action plans that allow KIT to realize the full sales potential of each account.
- Develops tactical and strategic activities to secure KIT with a long-term relationship with customers.
- Identifies and exploits new sales opportunities and channels to grow national account sales within KIT marketing strategy. Develops plan for continuous margin improvement.
- Maintains relationship with accounts, communicates activities, provides reports to customers and department. Provides information to Account Development team and field management to allow them to perform to the objectives of the agreement.
- In conjunction with marketing, develops strategies and campaigns and makes sales presentations and sales calls on current accounts. May also call on new/potential accounts.
- Reviews all contracts, survey information and sales data to maximize margin potential and terms on all accounts. Communicates recommendations and opportunities to management and branches.
- Manages current national accounts and works with Account Development Managers and other personnel as required to implement programs effectively and efficiently.
- Targets opportunities within national accounts for sales development and implementation of Kaman’s programs and services.
- Creates and delivers programs and presentations for national accounts, keeping KIT in forefront of providing solutions for customer needs.
- Makes recommendations to management for new sales initiatives.
- Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Accomplishes related results as needed.
- Ability to engage at all levels within a customers environment as well as within all levels of the Kaman organization.
Qualifications
Education - BS degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience - 8-10 years of sales experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
