Riverchase Kia is growing and we need you to join our team! We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service and leadership skills to join our dealership as Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will manage, train, develop, and motivate a team of representatives in our Business Development Center (BDC) and ensure we have an effective team to handle all incoming sales phone calls, internet leads, and emails from customers. He/she is directly responsible and accountable for maximizing sales and profitability of the BDC to agreed levels of performance.

The ideal candidate has some post secondary education (degree, coursework, certification, etc.) and at least two years of BDC management experience in a large-volume dealership. Candidates must have a strong business acumen and sales aptitude and a willingness to accept full accountability for BDC targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivational skills are essential. Service Advisor experience a plus!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees daily department operations
  • Hires, trains, and monitors team member performance
  • Develops a pipeline by prospecting potential customers through outbound activity from inactive and existing customers and a prospect database
  • Ensures all department targets are met or exceeded
  • Provides timely and accurate reports on all department activities as needed
  • Participates in dealership management meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
  • Two years of progressive and relevant experience
  • Sales experience with verifiable proof of meeting sales targets
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff
  • Knowledge of automotive Sales and Service department operations
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoing personality and willing to work with the public on a daily basis
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Proficient computer and internet skills
  • Experience with dealership CRM and DMS systems
  • Valid driver's license
