The Business Development Manager defines short and long-term strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and manages existing client relationships to ensure they stay positive and satisfied.

Job Duties
- Prospects for new clients by networking, advertising, cold calling, and other means of generating interest from potential clients
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
- Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Attends industry functions, such as association events and conferences to establish new and maintain current relationships with clients for future business
- Develops rapport with new clients; builds key customer relationships and continues to grow business in the future
- Grows and retains existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services offered to clients
- Develops a robust pipeline of transactions
- Provides support that continually improves the customer relationship
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements and developing and negotiating contracts
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing deal requirements and financials
- Increases sales opportunities and thereby maximizes revenue for the organization
- Works with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
- Identifies opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
- Maintains excellent relationship and rapport with customers
- Maintains excellent customer service standards
- Resolves customer complaints immediately and provides conflict resolution to customers according to company guidelines

- B.A. preferred
- Minimum of four or five (4-5) years experience
- Excellent business sense
