An exciting opportunity has become available to join Intel as a Silicon Photonics Sales Specialist.

This is a commission based role in Data Center Group (DCG) Sales.

By adding photonics capability to world-leading silicon manufacturing, Intel has developed a new class of high-speed optical connectivity products. Intel Silicon Photonics removes networking bottlenecks that can result in stranded compute capacity-driving toward a future of virtually unconstrained data center connectivity.

The position of a Silicon Photonics Sales Specialist is a technical sales lead aligned to the Business Unit Sales head.

A successfull candidate will be responsible for:

  • Advising and influencing end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners and scale engines.
  • Understanding the business use case and technical merits of a solution and co-owning relationships with customer/partner decision-makers to influence the customers purchasing decision.
  • Work with all audiences to accelerate adoption of Intel-based platforms and document gaps/provide feedback to solution stakeholders including: solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, OEMs, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and ISVs & service providers.
  • Providing direct assistance to customers and partners,
  • Interfacing with Sr. decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

A successfull candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience with networking optics including 40Gb, 100Gb, and 400Gb pluggable modules
  • Background in cloud, data center, telco, service providers, and their architectures.
  • Solid understanding of OEM/ISV development cycles and key Intel/OEM dependencies.
  • Understanding the sales process and direct customer experience.
  • Independent self-starter who can also function effectively in teams. Proven ability to understand and grow revenue in new markets. Proven advanced account management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required, geo local language is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed in order to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment with a diverse account base.
  • Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of Intel and the customer.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSc or BS in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics or equivalent.

-Minimum of 6+ years technical experience in engineering, applications support, or sales.
