Summary
As part of a basin-focused sales team, the Business Development role is responsible for the sale of wellhead and rental equipment to new and existing customers within their assigned territory.

Essential Functions
  • Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products
  • Penetrate targeted accounts
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales reports.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
  • Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory/customers in a time-efficient manner.
  • Use marketing data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records including reports, including but not limited to, weekly expense reports, sales reports, CRM data, etc.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services by monitoring competition through the gathering of current marketplace information on pricing, products, competitor activities, and other research.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent of three years’ experience in progressively responsible sales position
  • Knowledge of wellhead equipment is preferred
  • Network of customer contacts within prospective areas
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
  • Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Exceptional verbal communication, presentation and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Must be organized and possess good time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Physical Demand
