Senior Manager, Sales Targets & Realignment

Job Summary

Sets, manages and protects the US sales targets for career, broker and expansion channels. As an integral component of Sales Operations, would drive the creation, deployment and management of US sales targets for all levels of distribution to include DOS, SVP Broker, TVPs, RVPs, MKDs, Sales Managers, MAAs, MKTs, RSCs, DSCs, Group Reps, Senior Group Reps, Public Sector and Broker Solutions team, Premier Broker team and Expansion Partnerships team. In addition, lead the overall support of asset realignment strategies for markets partnering with key Sales functions to ensure budget awareness, profitability and compensation alignment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Drives the development, planning, and implementation of strategic sales metrics; understands the inner-workings of the field force, including broker, expansion and strategic sales initiatives and with that knowledge works to improve the skill set and knowledge of the field in an impactful way

Drives and oversees the approval, implementation and deployment of sales targets for all sales channels by gathering requirements, defining scope, and meeting with top level sales leadership for final implementation

Responsible for protecting the overall US sales targets when assessing and assigning sales targets to the individual level including working with members of the sales compensation and FP&A teams to ensure compliance with sales bonus budget

Drives and oversees the approval, implementation and deployment of asset realignment initiatives by gathering requirements, defining scope, and creating business cases to develop plans and schedules to maximize sales efficiency

Responsible for partnering with key support areas including, Sales Reporting, Sales Analytics and Forecast, Sales Compensation, Asset Management and Sales Financial Operations

Collaborates with all levels of management to help identify sales variances, build forecasts, and provide guidance to change; assists the Director of Sales Operations in the management, reporting, and attainment of projected benefits after implementation

Drives the development of appropriate metrics and Analytics to evaluate the success of change initiatives; continuously monitors and assesses stakeholder satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement

Builds relationships with key Sales leaders externally (TVPs and MKDs) and internally (EVP Sales Distribution, Director of Sales, SVP Broker Sales, SVP Growth Solutions, VP Strategic Asset Management, VP Distribution Expansion, VP Broker Solutions and VP National Sales Training and Recruiting).


Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and ten years of professional job-related work experience with five years management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge & Skills

Broad knowledge of organizational behavior, project management, management theory, and business practices
Detailed knowledge of the insurance industry (FLMI preferred)

Strong project planning, analysis, facilitation, and negotiation skills

Strong working knowledge of operations management
