Welding & Fabrication Sales Representative - Gillette, WY, USA

• Gillette, WyomingInterstate Power Systems is looking for a full-time welding and fabrication sales representative. This individual needs to be self-motivated, proactive and personable with exceptional follow-through skills and excellent attention to details. Outstanding verbal communication skills are a must. Sales Rep will be responsible for traveling to customers in mining, power generation, processing and oil and gas to introduce Interstate Power Systems welding capabilities and services. Sales Reps will also be responsible for finding and meeting new clients as well as providing service to existing customers.
Job Duties:
- Generate new business through understanding and promoting company welding and fabrication services.
- Meet or exceed sales goals
- Coordinating sales efforts within company objective
- Preparing, reviewing and submitting sales contracts and quotes
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services. Answer client questions about credit terms, products, services, prices and availability.
- Maintains, updates and builds client records.
- Experience and ability to quote welding and fabrications services as well as major projects and components used on equipment in the mining and processing fields
- Meet regularly with Maintenance and Asset Manager as appropriate to review sales activities and prospective projects and potential jobs.
- Perform all other duties as necessary to support the success and growth of other areas of Interstate business.
- Provide weekly call reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with and knowledge of metal fabrication
Experience in all aspects for welding processes and services to mining, processing, and power generation
Job Requirements:
- Experience welding processes and application for mining, processing, power generation and oil
- Minimum 1 year experience with metal fabrication preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Self-starter with a strong pride in work
- Strong work ethic, competitive, trustworthy and confidential
- Must be willing to make cold calls
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- superb interpersonal skills, including building rapport with both customers and suppliers
- Experience using a computer and software to record and retrieve data
- Grasps concepts quickly and has the ability and desire to learn about Carolina Metal Systems specific products and services in order to better sell capabilities to customers.
- Adheres to work schedule and follows through with all sales and potential sale.
- Valid driver's license
